Root: The Underworld Hirelings Pack – Need Allies? Dig Out a Gold Coin! 🦡🪙

Discover unique strategies and make the Woodland wilder with Root: The Underworld Hirelings Pack from Leder Games! This expansion adds three new hirelings to your games of Root.

Hirelings are extra forces that lend their services to players and can change their allegiance throughout the game as the conflict drags on. They can be added to games at any player count: they are at their strongest with fewer players and still great with more. With fewer players, the hirelings add new pieces to the map, ramping up the tension and giving you more tactical options. With more players, some hireling cards flip over to reveal new special abilities to gain, letting you explore unique and powerful strategies. This pack contains three double-sided hirelings. Strike from the deep with the Sunward Expedition, or preserve your crafts with the Mole Artisans. Cut down your foes with the Furious Protector, or bring peace through strength with the Stoic Protector. Steal secrets and friends with the Corvid Spies, or defend your assets with the Raven Sentinels. The pack includes the hireling cards together with their wooden pieces and markers. It is a compact way to change the feel of a familiar game without adding a full new faction. Please note that this is an expansion: a copy of Root is required to play.
