Schrödinger's Cats – Alive, Dead or Empty? 🐱📦

A pseudo-scientific card game of strategic uncertainty. Schrödinger's Cats by Heather Wilson, Heather O'Neill and Chris O'Neill is a fast bluffing and deduction game for 2 to 6 players aged 10 and up, in about 20 minutes.

While Erwin Schrödinger is away, the cat physicists play in his lab. Each card in your hand is a box from his famous experiment: an alive cat, a dead cat, an empty box – or a Heisenberg, the wild card that always counts as whatever the current hypothesis is. On your turn, you state a hypothesis about how many alive cats, dead cats or empty boxes there are among all the cards in play, and each hypothesis must be higher than the last. Instead of raising, you can call the last hypothesis into question: "Prove it!" Then all boxes are observed – everyone reveals their hand – and the scientist who was wrong is out of the experiment. Then a new experiment begins with one card fewer per player, and the last scientist standing wins. It is a game of nerve, probability and reading the faces around the table.
