Tiny Towns: Villagers – New Neighbours with Talents 🐾🏘️

Word has spread of a thriving little civilisation in the forest, and creatures with incredible talents – from engineers to merchants – have come to visit. Tiny Towns: Villagers by Peter McPherson and Josh Wood (AEG) is an expansion for Tiny Towns for 1–6 players aged 14+; you need the base game to play.

Each player gets a Lodge board and three villager meeples, placed in the corners of their town. Two Villager cards are revealed at the start, each offering a special ability – for example placing a resource of your choice, building with one fewer resource or ignoring a resource named by another player. To use an ability, villagers have to be working in buildings. A villager starts working when you construct a building on the square where it stands, using resources. If you place a resource on a villager's square and do not build there, the villager moves to a neighbouring empty square or goes back to the Lodge. So you plan not only where buildings go, but also where your villagers will be. Activating an ability sends villagers back to the Lodge, and from there they return to your town at the end of the round. The box also adds 18 new building cards and 5 new monuments, and an expert mode called Tiny Tears for experienced players.
