Gandalf and the Barrow Owl – A Ride in 1000 Pieces 🦉🧩

Fans of Middle-earth, take your seats. The Lord of the Rings: Gandalf and the Barrow Owl is a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle from the Lord of the Rings collection by Sophisticated Games, distributed by Thames & Kosmos and rated for ages 7 and up.

This jigsaw is illustrated by Antonio De Luca, who has worked as an illustrator, comic book and storyboard artist and production designer for several Italian and international companies, including on The One Ring and The Lord of the Rings roleplaying games and The War of the Ring card game. His image shows Gandalf on horseback with a Barrow owl and was painted as the cover of The Lord of the Rings roleplaying game, released in 2023. Piece by piece, the image comes together on your table, from the first edge pieces to the last details in the middle. A 1000-piece puzzle like this is challenging but enjoyable: it rewards patience, a good eye for colours and shapes, and a little teamwork if you share the table with family or friends. The puzzle is part of a whole collection of Lord of the Rings jigsaws featuring artists who have illustrated Tolkien's world, so it fits well next to the others on the shelf. It also makes a wonderful gift for any Tolkien fan or puzzle lover.
