Turtle Splash – Flick, Splash and Remember! 🐢💦

The jungle animals are playing hide-and-seek at the lake – and the turtle is late! Turtle Splash by Joel and Rafael Escalante, illustrated by Maïa Zeidan and published by Gigamic, is a flicking and memory game for 2 to 4 children aged 5 to 9, in about 15 minutes.

Twelve animal tiles hide face down around the lake. On your turn, you flick the turtle down the river track. If it doesn't reach the lake, you turn over one animal tile; if it stops at the edge of the lake, you turn over two; and if it lands right in the centre, you turn over three. Each player has a personal board with three rows of animals and a ball token in each row. Whenever you reveal the animal shown next to one of your balls, that ball moves forward. If you can't move any ball, you take a swim ring, which lets you turn over an extra tile on your next turn. The first player to bring all three balls to the end of their board wins. Two removable barriers on the river let you make flicking easier or harder, so younger and older children can play together.
