Quarto Mini – Your Opponent Picks Your Piece 🪵🎯

Thinking tic-tac-toe? Think again. Quarto Mini by Blaise Müller, published by Gigamic, is the compact edition of the classic wooden strategy game Quarto, for 2 players aged 8 and up, in about 10 to 20 minutes.

Each of the 16 wooden pieces has four characteristics: light or dark, round or square, tall or short, solid or hollow. Your goal is to complete a line of four pieces that share at least one characteristic – across, down or diagonally. The twist: you never choose the piece you play. Your opponent picks it from the remaining pieces and hands it to you, then you place it and choose the next piece for them. As the board fills up, the tension grows and every choice narrows the options. Spot a line? Call "Quarto!" to win – even if you didn't place the other three pieces yourself. Beginners can start with fewer characteristics, and an advanced variant also counts squares of four.
