Camel Up: Off Season – Load Up, Don't Fall Down 🐪📦

The Camel Up races are over, and the camels now help merchants transport valuable goods. Camel Up: Off Season by Anna Oppolzer and Stefan Kloß is an auction and push-your-luck game for 3–5 players aged 8+, taking about 30–45 minutes.

Each player owns a caravan of four camels that can carry 3, 4, 5 and 6 goods cards. Every round has three phases. First comes the auction: players secretly bet coins from behind their tents and reveal them together. The highest bid wins the first player marker – and only the winner pays. Next, in turn order, each player chooses a different market, takes its coins, may use its ability, and takes all of its goods cards. The goods must be loaded onto your camels: each camel carries only one type of goods – dates, pottery, fruit or carpets – and if a camel ends up with more cards than it can carry, it collapses and all the goods on its back are lost in the desert. Finally, each player may sell goods from one camel. Every type of goods has its own selling rules, such as dates in multiples of three or pottery in pairs of the same shape. When the goods deck runs out, one last round is played, and the wealthiest merchant wins.
