Concordia Balearica / Cyprus – Islands, Ships and Fish 🗺️🐟

A double-sided board and a fish market – Concordia Balearica / Cyprus by Mac Gerdts is an expansion for Concordia for 2 to 5 players. You need the base game to play.

Balearica shows Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca, and there is no capital to start from. Each player begins with two sea colonists on the starting spaces between the islands. New colonists appear in cities where you already have houses. Land colonists may cross the sea on your own ships, using one movement step per ship. Cyprus and the eastern Mediterranean form the other side, with Antiochia as the capital in place of Roma. The fish market, the Forvm Piscatorvm, works with every Concordia board. When you use the Prefect, provinces give fish instead of the usual bonus goods. At the start of your turn you can spend fish at the market on extra actions. Fish fill storehouse spaces like other goods and count as 3 sestertii in the final Vesta scoring. The board is double-sided, with a coastal and a mountainside market.
