Ark Nova: Marine Worlds – Bring the Ocean to Your Zoo 🌊🐠

Marine Worlds is an expansion for Ark Nova that adds sea animals as a new animal category. To house them, you build aquariums – a new kind of special enclosure. For 1–4 players aged 14+; you need the Ark Nova base game to play.

Each zoo can build one small aquarium with 2 spaces and one large aquarium with 5 spaces. Both are built with the basic Build action and must be placed next to water. Most sea animals live only in aquariums, and you may spread their tokens across your small and large aquarium. About half of the sea animals are Reef Dwellers: whenever you play a Reef Dweller, every Reef Dweller already in your zoo triggers its effect again. Watch out for the wave icon too – when a card with a wave appears in the display, the oldest card is discarded. A new kind of university gives you reliable access to an animal category of your choice. For every action card there are four alternative versions with small bonuses, and at the start of the game you replace two of your action cards with alternative ones. You also get new zoo cards, final scoring cards and bonus tiles that you shuffle into the base game, individual track counters and 7 animal-shaped player tokens. The box also contains replacement components for the base game.
