Similo: Jurassic World – Find the Secret Dinosaur 🦖🧠

Is it the Tyrannosaurus rex, the Velociraptor or the Mosasaurus? Similo: Jurassic World from Horrible Guild, by Hjalmar Hach, Pierluca Zizzi and Martino Chiacchiera, is a cooperative deduction game for 2 or more players aged 7+, playing in about 10 minutes.

One player is the Clue Giver, and everyone else plays as the Guessers. The Clue Giver lays out 12 cards in a 4 × 3 grid and secretly picks one of them – the Secret Card. Then they draw five cards as their hand of clues. Over five rounds, the Clue Giver plays one clue per round, without saying a word or making a gesture. A card played vertically is a Keep Clue: it has something in common with the cards the Guessers should keep. A card played horizontally is a Remove Clue: it resembles the cards they should remove. Carnivores, flying reptiles, giant sizes, a film appearance or a green background – any connection the Clue Giver can imagine will do. The Guessers discuss each clue and remove a set number of cards. If they remove the Secret Card, you all lose immediately; if it is the last card left after round five, you all win. The 37 big cards show characters from the Jurassic World universe, illustrated by Naïade, and the deck can be combined with other Similo decks. Rules are included in English and Slovenian.
