Each card shows a string of words that sounds like a real phrase when you read it aloud. One player is the judge, flips the sand timer and holds up a card; everyone else reads it out and tries to decode it first. The judge may give one hint per round. A round ends when the timer runs out or three cards are decoded – the first player to win 13 cards wins.
