The Resistance: Avalon – Good, Evil and a Secret Merlin 🛡️🕵️

Good and evil battle to control the future of civilisation. The Resistance: Avalon by Don Eskridge, published by Indie Boards & Cards, is a social deduction game for 5 to 10 players aged 14 and up, in about 30 minutes.

Arthur represents the future of Britain, a promise of prosperity and honour – yet hidden among his brave warriors are Mordred's unscrupulous minions. These forces of evil are few in number, but they know each other and remain hidden from all but one of Arthur's servants. Merlin alone knows the agents of evil, but he must speak of this only in riddles: if his true identity is discovered, all will be lost. Each round, a leader proposes a team to go on a quest, and everyone votes on whether to approve it. The chosen knights then secretly decide the quest's fate – loyal servants always support it, while evil players may quietly sabotage it. Good wins by completing three quests, evil by failing three. But even then, the Assassin gets one last chance to name Merlin and steal victory. Optional characters such as Percival, Morgana, Mordred and Oberon add new twists for experienced groups. Avalon is a standalone game; The Resistance is not required, but the two games are compatible and can be combined.
