Carcassonne Expansion #9 – Sheep & Shepherds: Grow Your Flock! 🐑🌿

Send your shepherd into the meadows, grow your flock, and hope the wolf stays away.

Sheep & Shepherds is the refreshed 2025 ninth expansion for Hans im Glück's Carcassonne. Shepherds gather flocks in the fields, geese add bonus points, vineyards sweeten nearby monasteries – and wolves can scatter everything you have built. For 2–6 players, ages 7+.

🐑 Grow Your Flock

Place your shepherd in a field and draw flock tokens from the cloth bag – 1 point per sheep when you herd them home.

🐺 Push Your Luck

Draw a wolf token and your whole flock scatters back into the bag. Herd now, or risk one more draw?

🪿 Geese Bonus

Geese on tiles next to your shepherd add extra points when you herd your flock.

🍇 Vineyards Add Value

Vineyards give 3 extra points per vineyard when a neighbouring monastery or garden is scored.
