Carcassonne Expansion #8 – Castles & Bridges: New Routes, New Points! 🌉🏰

Cross new ground, crown tiny cities with castles, and let your farmers cash in from the barn.

Castles & Bridges is the refreshed 2025 eighth expansion for Hans im Glück's Carcassonne. Bridges carry roads across fields, castles turn small completed cities into new scoring spots for maidens, and barns let farmers score before the game ends. For 2–6 players, ages 7+.

🌉 Bridges Open New Routes

Place a tile with a field next to an open road and a bridge continues it – each bridge adds 3 points when the road is completed.

🏰 Castles for Small Cities

Complete a city of exactly 2 segments and build a castle; your knight becomes a maiden who can score later.

🛖 Barns for Farmers

Where four field corners meet, build a barn and move a farmer onto it to score during the game.

🔄 Fully Compatible

Combine with The River and other Carcassonne expansions.
