Inside Job – Who Is the Double Agent? 🕵️🃏

Something's not right here. A group of agents sets out on new missions, but one of them is sabotaging the tasks and secretly gathering information. Inside Job by Tanner Simmons and Marek Bláha is an almost cooperative trick-taking game with a traitor, for 3–5 players aged 10+, playing in about 20 minutes.

Think of it as a classic trick-taking card game meets a hidden-role game. At the start, everyone receives a secret role: most players are agents working together, while one is the Insider. Before each trick, the starting player chooses one of two missions. The mission card tells you which cards have to be played into the trick to complete it, and the colour shown at the bottom is the trump suit for that trick. The agents try to fulfil missions, while the Insider quietly works against them and tries to win tricks without being noticed. If neither side reaches its goal, everyone votes on who they think the Insider is. With four or five players, special role cards add abilities, weaknesses, different goals and rule changes for extra variety. There is also a 2-player variant in which one player takes the Larry standee, an imaginary middleman. The free KOSMOS app offers a tutorial, but the game is just as playable without it.
