King of Tokyo: Power Up! – Your Monster Evolves 🧬🐼

The struggle to become the King of Tokyo just levelled up. Power Up! is an expansion for Richard Garfield's King of Tokyo, illustrated by Régis Torres and published by IELLO. You need the King of Tokyo base game to play.

With this expansion, the monsters are evolving and benefit from new powers. Each monster now has its own deck of eight Evolution cards that it can gain and use during the game. At the start, every monster draws two Evolution cards and keeps one in hand without showing it. Later, after the Resolve Dice phase, a monster that rolled at least three Heart symbols draws two Evolution cards, keeps one and discards the other. This is not a cost but a bonus, so you can still use the dice to heal or for the effect of other cards – and being in Tokyo doesn't stop you from drawing Evolutions. You keep your Evolutions in hand until you decide to play them, so your opponents never quite know what your monster is capable of. What's more, a new challenger has arrived in the city who will show his expertise in the art of the smash: the terrible Pandakaï, with his own monster board and figure. The box also contains Evolution cards for Cyber Bunny and Kraken from the first edition of King of Tokyo.
