Rivals for Catan – Catan as a Duel ⚔️🏰

Two princes, one island, and a race to build the better realm. Rivals for Catan by Klaus Teuber is the Catan card game for exactly 2 players aged 10 and up.

Instead of a shared board, each of you builds your own principality from cards. Region cards produce resources such as grain, wool, lumber, brick, ore and gold, and each turn the production die decides which regions yield. With these resources you build roads and settlements, upgrade settlements into cities and add buildings, heroes and ships to strengthen your realm. The event die brings surprises – from good harvests to trade or conflict – and keeps both players on their toes. Trade advantage and strength points decide who profits when certain events happen. The box contains 180 cards: start with the Introductory Game to learn the basics, then try the three Theme Games – the Era of Gold, the Era of Turmoil and the Era of Progress – each adding its own cards and tactics. Once you know them, the Duel of the Princes combines everything into one big game. Choose the English edition or the Slovenian edition »Catan Dvoboj«, which comes with rules in Slovenian.
