Blokus – Stake Your Claim 🟥🟦🟩🟨

Less than a minute to learn, endless strategy to master. Blokus from Mattel is a classic strategy game for the whole family, for 2 to 4 players aged 7+.

Each player gets a set of 21 pieces in red, blue, green or yellow, then takes turns placing them on the board. There is just one rule: each piece you play must touch at least one other piece of your colour, but only at the corners – never along a side. The goal is to fit as many of your pieces on the board as possible, while strategically blocking your opponents and protecting your own territory. Every move opens new corners for you and can close space for everyone else, so even the youngest players quickly learn to think a few moves ahead. The game ends when no more pieces can be placed, and the player with the lowest number of squares remaining wins. Unique design patterns on the pieces help identify the colours, so players with any form of colour blindness can play too. The bright, chunky pieces are satisfying to handle, and a game is over fast enough for a rematch.
