Quiet focus, that satisfying click when the last piece fits – Katamino Pocket is the travel version of Gigamic's pentomino puzzle for anyone aged 8 and up who loves a good challenge on the go.

You get 12 pentominoes – flat pieces made of five squares – plus a few smaller helper pieces, a game board and a slider. Move the slider to set the size of the playing area, choose a challenge and try to fill the space exactly with the pieces it lists. The 500 challenges start easy and get steadily harder, so the puzzle grows with you. Most challenges are solo, and the instructions also include a checkered board for a two-player strategy duel. The pocket case has a locking top that keeps your current puzzle in place and a drawer for the pieces you are not using, so you can stop on the bus and finish at home. A puzzle takes about 15 minutes.
