CATAN: Explorers & Pirates 5–6 – More Crews at Sea ⛵🏴‍☠️

The Council of Catan is sending more explorers out to sea. The CATAN: Explorers & Pirates 5–6 Player Extension from CATAN Studio adds one or two players to your Explorers & Pirates games, so up to six players aged 13+ can sail together.

The extension uses the same rules as Explorers & Pirates, with a few additions: an updated board set-up for the bigger group and the paired-player turn from the 2025 CATAN 5–6 Player Extension. In a paired turn, the second player also gets to take actions and move their ships, though they cannot trade – so nobody waits long for their next go. You still head out to discover new lands, hunt down pirate lairs, bring fish from the fishing grounds and deliver spice to the villages, completing missions as you go. The box brings components for two more players in new colours, including crews, settlers, harbour settlements, ships and mission markers, along with extra hexes and number discs. Please note: this is an extension, not a standalone game.
