Barbecubes – Don't Spill on the Grill! 🔥🍢

The BBQ is hot, and it is time to prep the food for cooking – but don't spill on the grill or everyone will go hungry. Barbecubes by Brett J. Gilbert and Rob Sparks, with artwork by Rory Muldoon, is the sequel to Tinderblox from Alley Cat Games: a quick dexterity game for 2–6 players aged 8 and up, in about 3–15 minutes.

Playing is as simple as one, two, three. Draw a card. Grab a piece of food with the tongs. Add it to the grill – without dropping any. The card tells you what to place, and the grill quickly fills up, so every new piece is a little harder to fit in than the last. Steady hands and a good eye decide who keeps cooking and who causes the mess. Everyone watches every move, and the tension rises with each piece. A round is over in minutes, which makes Barbecubes ideal as a warm-up, a game between bigger games or a quick challenge at a family gathering. It all comes in a small tin, so the barbecue fits easily in a bag for holidays and trips.
