Navegador – Sail Into the Age of Discoveries ⛵🌍

In the 15th century, Prince Henry the Navigator sent Portugal's most skilled sailors to explore the coast of Africa. In Navegador by Mac Gerdts (PD-Verlag), 2–5 players aged 12+ lead trading dynasties that help build Portugal's empire, in about 60–90 minutes.

Each player starts with just two ships in Portugal and three workers in Lisboa. On your turn you move your game stone around the rondel and take the action you land on: sail, hire workers, found colonies, trade on the market, build factories, shipyards and churches, buy ships or claim privileges. The next three fields are free; going further costs you ships. The market values of sugar, gold and spices keep moving, so you watch the market and your rivals closely. Exploring new sea regions on the way to Nagasaki opens the next game phase, and the holder of the Navegador card may take an extra sailing action. The game ends when Nagasaki is explored or the last building is built, and the player who most successfully combines privileges with colonies, factories, discoveries, shipyards and churches wins.
