The road beckons. The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-earth by Fantasy Flight Games is a fully cooperative, app-supported board game set in J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth, for 1–5 players aged 14+, taking about 60–120 minutes.

Form your Fellowship from six heroes and set out together against the darkness that threatens the land. A free companion app is required to play: it takes control of the enemies, reveals the map tile by tile, tells the story and guides you through whole campaigns, so every player can be part of the same Fellowship. You explore the map, search for clues, make courageous choices and fight against enemy figures, with 25 enemies in the box. Instead of dice, you test your skills by revealing cards from your own deck. Each hero has their own skills, and you choose a role for them, such as Burglar, Hunter or Guardian, that grows as you gain experience between adventures. Damage and fear cards slowly wear your heroes down, so caring for each other matters as much as fighting. Because the app fills each adventure from many possibilities, the journey changes every time, and your choices leave their mark on the campaign. Play alone or with up to four friends.
