Town 77 – A Town Full of Fussy Residents 🏘️🧩

Town 77 is a compact tile-placement game from Oink Games, designed by Christoph Cantzler and Anja Wrede with artwork by Jun Sasaki. It is for 1 to 5 players aged 9+ and takes about 15 minutes.

The residents of Town 77 are a picky bunch: they cannot stand houses of the same shape or the same colour lined up in a row or column. Together you build houses on a 7×7 town grid, and every tile you place must follow that one simple rule. At first it is easy, but spots run out quickly. The clever twist is your hand: you decide when to shrink the number of tiles you hold, and once reduced it never grows back. Shrink too early and your options vanish; wait too long and there is nowhere left to build. The player who gets rid of their tiles most successfully wins. Play alone to chase a high score, or with friends for a tense showdown. Fans of Sudoku and crosswords will feel right at home. Town 77 is the updated version of Town 66, with a new colour and shape and support for up to five players.
