Catan: Cities & Knights – The Barbarians Are Coming 🛡️🏰

More wealth, more danger – Cities & Knights turns Catan into a longer, tenser game of trade, city improvements and defence.

In this expansion for 3 to 4 players aged 12 and up, barbarians sail towards the island, attracted by its riches. The more cities there are on Catan, the stronger their army. Train and activate knights together to hold them off – or lose a city. The first player to reach 13 victory points wins.

⚔️ Knights on the Board

Wooden knight tokens stand on intersections. Activate them with grain to fight, chase the robber or push rival knights away.

⛵ The Barbarian Ship

An event die moves the barbarian ship closer every few turns – plan your defence early.

📜 Commodities

Cities next to mountains, pasture and forest also produce coin, cloth or paper.

🏛️ City Improvements

Develop your cities on three tracks, draw progress cards and race for a metropolis worth 2 extra points.

• 🧠 More Strategy: new choices on every turn.
• 🤝 A Shared Threat: everyone must help defend Catan.
