In Sandbag, you’re a pilot in a chaotic hot air balloon race. This clever trick-taking card game from Bézier Games turns the genre on its head: you don’t want tricks… unless they come with powerful rockets. Avoid balloon cards, slip out of danger with your sandbag, and even play cards from your opponents’ baskets as you manipulate trump and try to finish with the lowest score.

🎈 Avoid Tricks, Hunt Rockets

Each trick you win usually means more points—bad news in Sandbag. The only tricks you really want are the valuable rocket cards that give negative points and lift your score back up. The player with the fewest points after three rounds wins.

🧺 Build Your Basket, Change the Trump

At the start of each round, configure your “basket” with two face-up cards. The most common color in all players’ baskets becomes the trump suit. But trump is never stable—cards keep swapping in and out of baskets, so the trump color can shift mid-round, keeping everyone guessing.

On your turn, you can:

• Play a card from your hand,
• Throw in your face-down sandbag card to safely duck a trick, or
• Steal a face-up basket card from another player (swapping it with one from your hand) and play it into the trick.

This highly interactive twist means you’re never just stuck with a bad hand—you can reconfigure the table to your advantage.
