Qomet – Will the Stars Align for You? ⭐🔲

A clean abstract duel from Gigamic. In Qomet by Fabrice Puleo, two players aged 8 and up race to form a square with their stars – in about 15 minutes.

The board has 25 spaces connected by lines. Each player takes 7 wooden stars, light or dark, and the player who last gazed at the stars goes first. On your turn you do one of two things: place a star of your colour on a free space, or move one of your stars along a line to the next connected space – horizontally, vertically or diagonally. If that space is occupied, you push the star there one space further, as long as the next space is empty. Stars on the outer square can even be pushed off the board; they go back to their owner and can be played again. You may only push one star at a time, and you cannot simply undo your opponent's last move. The winner is the first player to form a square of 4 stars in their colour connected by straight lines – but if your push creates a square for your opponent, they win.
