Every Wingspan player has a mat where they build their habitats – forest, grassland and wetland – and play their birds. This playmat gives you that mat in natural rubber, a neoprene-like material that many players prefer because cards are easier to pick up from it. The two sides cover the two versions of the player mat. The original side is important because most Wingspan expansions are designed with it as the foundation. The Oceania side is typically used when you play with nectar from the Oceania expansion. So whichever way you play, you only need to flip the mat. Each playmat is sold separately, so you can buy exactly as many as you need: if you usually play Wingspan with one other person, two mats are enough, while a full set for the base game and Oceania would be five mats. The mats were previously sold as neoprene mats; this version is made from natural rubber. The playmat is an accessory – you need a copy of Wingspan to play.
