Codenames: Back to Hogwarts – House Against House ⚡🏰

An all-new Codenames experience inspired by the Wizarding World. Codenames: Back to Hogwarts by Vlaada Chvátil is a party and family game from CGE for 4–8+ players aged 10 and up.

It is the first competitive, house-vs-house Codenames game inspired by the Wizarding World. As new first-year students at Hogwarts, players are sorted into two rival houses, each with its own prefect who knows the secrets of the school's mystery card grid. On their turn, prefects give their team a clue consisting of a single word and a number suggesting how many cards are associated with that word. The students then follow the clue to explore Hogwarts, guessing words and revealing one card at a time. If they are correct, they can keep guessing up to the stated number. If they hit a card of the rival house, a dead end, a locked door or another obstacle, their turn ends. And take care not to get caught by caretaker Argus Filch – that ends the game and gives the win to the rival house. Each house also has two powerful special abilities, and since every game features two houses that use one ability each, there are many combinations to explore. Every win earns points for your house, which can be tracked across several sessions in the House Cup.
