Project L – Fill the Puzzles, Grow Your Pieces 🧩⚙️

A puzzle game with a clever engine at its heart. Project L by Adam Španěl, Jan Soukal and Michal Mikeš, published by Boardcubator, is a tactical game for 1 to 4 players aged 8 and up, in about 20 to 40 minutes.

Everyone starts with just two small basic pieces. On your turn, you take three actions: take a new puzzle from the white or black puzzle rows, take a basic piece, upgrade a piece to a bigger shape, or place a piece into one of your puzzles. When a puzzle is completely filled, you score its points and gain the reward piece shown on it – so every finished puzzle gives you more and better pieces for the next ones. The white puzzles are smaller and help you grow, while the black puzzles score more. Deciding when to switch from building your collection to chasing points is the heart of the game. The pieces are made of colourful acrylic and fit neatly into the layered puzzle tiles. The game was nominated for the Golden Geek 2020 Light Game award.
