Unmatched: Houdini vs. The Genie – Escape Artist vs. Genie 🎩🪔

Unmatched: Houdini vs. The Genie is a standalone two-player set in the Unmatched series of tactical miniature battle games. The legendary escape artist Harry Houdini takes on The Genie. For ages 9+, about 20–40 minutes.

Each player takes one hero, that hero's own deck of 30 action cards and their miniature. Houdini fights together with his sidekick Bess, while The Genie stands alone. On your turn, you take two actions: manoeuvre to draw a card and move your fighters, attack an enemy in range, or play a scheme card for its special effect. In combat, the attacker plays a card face down, the defender may answer with a card of their own, and both are revealed together, so predicting your opponent's plans is just as important as the cards in your hand. Reduce the opposing hero's health to zero to win. Because the two decks are built around completely different abilities, Houdini and The Genie play in very different ways. The double-sided game board uses the same layout on both sides, and one side adds patterns to help players with vision differences. Like every Unmatched set, Houdini vs. The Genie is fully compatible with the rest of the series, so both heroes can also fight anyone else in your collection.
