Cheese Master – How Much Cheese Is Left? 🧀🐭

Cheese falls, mice scurry, the cat leaps, the dog appears – and the innkeeper bangs on a pot. After all that, how much cheese is actually left? Cheese Master by Johan Benvenuto and Alexandre Droit is a fast game from IELLO's Mini Games line, for 2–8 players aged 8+, about 10 minutes.

Each round, one player rolls the dice, and then everyone tries at the same time to count how many cheese wedges remain – there are no turns. The dice are applied from top to bottom: cheese adds wedges, each mouse removes 1 wedge, each cat removes 1 mouse, the dog removes 1 cat, the innkeeper chases away all dogs, cats and mice, and the Mouse King removes 1 wedge no matter what. As soon as you think you know the answer, show the matching Platter card from your hand and lock in your guess with a wooden Cheese pawn. But it is a game of musical chairs: there is always one pawn fewer than there are players. The player left without a pawn loses 1 point, and a wrong guess costs 2 points. Your Character card shows your remaining points, from 7 down to 0, and the game continues until only one player is left. Start with the three yellow dice; the orange dice add extra effects. The box contains 40 double-sided Kitchen cards, 6 dice and 7 Cheese pawns.
