Squadro Mini – There and Back Again ♟️🪵

A challenging game of abstract strategy with simple rules, made of quality wood. Squadro Mini by Adrián Jiménez Pascual is the compact version of Squadro from Gigamic for 2 players aged 8 and up, in about 20 minutes.

Each player has five pieces of the same colour, and the two sets cross the board at right angles. On your turn, you move one piece according to its movement value – some pieces are fast on the way out and slow on the way back, others the other way round. The first player to get four of their pieces to the other side of the board and back again wins. Sounds simple, but you must calculate your own moves and anticipate your opponent's, because the pieces get in each other's way as they cross paths. The rules explain one turn in a minute, but every game becomes a tense duel of timing and tactics. The mini edition comes with a wooden board and a cloth bag, so you can take it along on a trip or play a quick game in a café.
