Micons – Do You Really Think the Cat Smells Bad? 👀🍦

Look closely, remember how things feel – and be ready to explain your choice! Micons from Gigamic is a card game for 2 to 4 young players aged 3 to 6, designed by Marine Faraguna with art by Elen Lescoat, and a game takes about 15 minutes.

In Micons, players need to be keen observers, but they also need to remember the sensations created by things from everyday life. Each turn, look at your cards and check whether you have an object that matches the characteristic shown. Some characteristics are visible, like shapes or colours. Others are invisible ideas, such as salty, sweet, hot, cold, spicy or noisy. If you have a matching object, put the card down, and it is the next player's turn. The first player to put down all their cards wins. Because not everyone experiences things the same way, little discussions happen naturally – is the cat really smelly? – which encourages children to explain their thinking and talk with others. The 50 double-sided cards come in a small box that is easy to take to grandparents, kindergarten or on holiday.
