Carcassonne: Abbey & Mayor – New Figures for Your Landscape 🏰🐎

Carcassonne: Abbey & Mayor is the fifth expansion for Carcassonne, the classic tile-laying game (Z-Man Games / Hans im Glück). It adds new land tiles, abbeys and three new figures for every player. You need Carcassonne to play, and you can combine it with other Carcassonne expansions.

Each player gets one Abbey tile, plus a mayor, a wagon and a barn in their colour, and the 12 new land tiles are shuffled in with the others. Abbey: instead of drawing a land tile, you may place your abbey in a hole surrounded on all four sides – it always fits. It works like a monastery, and it completes the side of every tile next to it, so its placement can score several features at once. Mayor: place it instead of a meeple in a city with no knights or mayors. Its strength equals the number of coats of arms in the city. Wagon: placed like a meeple on a road, city, monastery or abbey. When its feature is scored, you can move it to an adjacent incomplete feature instead of taking it back. Barn: placed on a corner where four fields meet. Farmers in that field are scored at once and return to your supply, and at game end the barn scores 4 points per completed city in its field.
