Azul Mini – Tile the Palace, Anywhere 🟦🧳

Azul Mini from Next Move Games is the compact travel version of Azul, in which you decorate the walls of the Royal Palace of Evora. It is for 2 to 4 players aged 8+ and plays in about 30 to 45 minutes.

Each round, the tiles are spread over the factory displays. On your turn, you take all tiles of one colour from a single display and push the rest into the centre, or you take all tiles of one colour from the centre. You then place them on one of your pattern lines, and any tiles you cannot use fall to the floor line and cost you points. When a pattern line is full, one tile moves to the matching space on your wall at the end of the round and scores points for the tiles it connects with. Because everyone draws from the same displays, watching what your opponents need is as important as planning your own wall. The game ends when someone completes a horizontal row on their wall, and end-game bonuses can still change the result. The mini edition keeps the 100 resin tiles, and the player boards have plastic trays that hold your tiles in place, so the game travels well and packs away easily.
