Ingenious – Only Your Weakest Colour Counts 🌈🔷

Test your sense of balance with Ingenious by Reiner Knizia, published by Kosmos! This elegant tile-laying game is for 1–4 players aged 8+, with a standard game for two to four players and variants for solo, team and duel play.

Each player has six tiles with coloured symbols on their tile rack. In clockwise order, each player places one tile onto the board, covering two empty hexagonal spaces, with the objective of extending lines of identical colour symbols that match the placed tile. For each line that is extended, you score points and advance the corresponding colour peg on your score board. The twist is that you must try to advance all six of your score pegs and not leave any one of them behind. When the board is completely filled with tiles, each player's lowest-scoring peg indicates their final score, and the player with the highest final score wins. A huge lead in one colour is worth nothing if another colour is lagging. Reaching the top of the track in a colour, an Ingenious, rewards you with an extra placement in the standard game. The rulebook also includes a solo game for one player, a team game for four players and a duel game for two players. The box contains a game board, 120 tiles with two coloured symbols each, a fabric bag, 4 tile racks, 4 score boards, 24 score pegs and duel game tokens.
