UNO Minimalista – The Classic, Stripped Back 🃏⚪

UNO Minimalista from Mattel is the classic UNO card game in a minimalist design by designer Warleson Oliveira. The rules stay the same – the cards get a clean, reduced look. For 2 to 10 players aged 7+.

Each player is dealt 7 cards, and the top card of the draw pile starts the discard pile. On your turn, match the top card of the discard pile by number, colour or symbol, or draw a card if you cannot play. Action cards shake things up: Draw Two makes the next player draw two cards and miss their turn, Reverse changes the direction of play, and Skip makes the next player lose their turn. Wild cards let you choose the colour that continues play, and Wild Draw Four does the same while making the next player draw four cards. When you are down to your last card, do not forget to call out “UNO” – otherwise you may have to draw extra cards. The first player to get rid of all their cards wins the round and scores points for the cards left in the other players' hands. Points add up from round to round, and the first player to reach 500 points wins the game. The deck has the same 112 cards as classic UNO, so anyone who knows the game can start right away – it simply looks different on the table.
