Wingspan: Oceania Expansion – Birds of Australia and New Zealand 🐦🌏

The second expansion for Wingspan by Elizabeth Hargrave, published by Stonemaier Games, features the colourful birds of Oceania. It needs the Wingspan base game and plays with 1 to 5 players, in about 40 to 70 minutes.

The 95 new bird cards are shuffled into the bird cards from the base game, with or without other expansions. The expansion brings new player mats and a new food type: nectar. It works as a wild food, comes from 5 new food dice that replace the original dice, and any nectar left in your supply at the end of a round is discarded. When you spend nectar, you place it in the matching habitat on your mat – at the end of the game, the player with the most nectar in each habitat scores 5 points, and second place scores 2. New bonus cards, end-of-round goals and a new colour of eggs complete the box, along with Automa cards for solo play. If you just want more birds, you can leave out the 17 birds with nectar and play without the new mats.
