Kill the living and eat their brains: Munchkin Zombies, designed by Steve Jackson and illustrated by John Kovalic, is the sickest, silliest Munchkin from Steve Jackson Games, for 3 to 6 players.

The munchkins are dead, but that won't stop them. In this game, you are the zombies, kicking down doors and going up levels by eating tasty brains. The “monsters” you're attacking are people – some helpless, some hazardous – with a few rogue zombies thrown in. Your armour is whatever you've blundered across during your lurching search for brains, so you might go forth with mousetraps on your feet and a bowling trophy protecting your poor rotting head. Everyone starts as a Level 1 zombie with no Mojo. Instead of classes, you can play a Mojo card – Atomic, Plague or Voodoo – to gain its special abilities, and Powers cards add even more. You fight by comparing your combat strength, your Level plus any bonuses, with the monster's, and you go up a level when you kill a monster. Curses, items and a lot of loud arguing do the rest. The first player to reach Level 10 wins – but you must reach it by killing a monster. Munchkin Zombies is based on the original Munchkin and can be combined with it or with any other Munchkin set. The game includes 168 cards, one six-sided die and the rules.
