Quantik – One Rule, Four Shapes, Pure Logic 🔷🟤

A pure abstraction. Quantik by Nouri Khalifa, published by Gigamic, is a wooden abstract strategy game for two players aged 8 and up, in about 20 minutes.

The board is a 4 × 4 grid divided into four square regions, and each player has eight wooden pieces – two spheres, two cylinders, two cubes and two cones in their own colour. On your turn, you place one of your pieces on an empty space, respecting one single rule: you are not allowed to place a shape in a row, column or region in which your opponent already has a piece of the same shape. Repeating your own shape is allowed. The first player to place the fourth different shape in a row, column or region wins the game – no matter who owns the other three pieces. And if you have no legal move on your turn, you lose. With Quantik, a single rule is enough to challenge your logic and tactics: every piece you place opens possibilities for you, but can also block or help your opponent. Games are short, so a rematch is always tempting. The varnished board and the wooden pieces make it a handsome game to leave out on the table.
