Fafnir – Trash Bin and Cash In 💎🐔

A chicken named Fafnir lays two gems each day – and sometimes more. Fafnir from Oink Games is a simple strategy game by Jun Sasaki, the designer of Deep Sea Adventure and A Fake Artist Goes to New York, for 2–4 players aged 9+, playing in about 20 minutes.

The brothers who inherited Fafnir have decided that the person who throws away the most gems gets the freshly laid ones. Every round, two stones are placed on Fafnir. Each player secretly holds the stones they want to throw away, and whoever holds the most discards them and takes the stones on Fafnir. But you can't throw away stones of the same colour as those on Fafnir – and sometimes everyone tries to dump the same colour at once. When the number of stones of one colour in the trash reaches a set amount, the round ends and the values are decided. Everyone reveals the stones behind their screens: the colour players hold the most of in total is worth 3 points, the second most 2 points, and every other colour -1 point. Gold stones don't depend on the market and are always worth 1 point. Should you chase the gold, or bet on reading the market right? Fafnir is quick and smooth, yet every round asks for sharp tactical thinking.
