Kinoko – All the Mushrooms Are Mixed Up! 🍄🎲

Sort out the mushroom muddle in Kinoko by Tim Rogasch and Polina Okean, a pocket game from Helvetiq! Gather the trio of your colour, but be careful not to keep poisonous mushrooms in your hand. It is for 2–4 players aged 7+ and takes about 20 minutes.

Kinoko is a competitive deduction and dice game in which players try to gather their trio of mushrooms by swapping cards. The trick is that only the other players know your hand. You hold your cards facing outwards, so you can see everyone else's mushrooms but not your own. You know the value of your cards, 1, 2 or 3, but not their colour. Each player secretly belongs to one mushroom family. On your turn you roll three dice and choose an action based on the result, such as swapping cards, peeking at a card or rerolling. When you think a complete trio of your colour is in play, you announce it. Gathering the trio earns you 2 points, but a poisonous mushroom in your hand makes you lose 1 point, and a wrong announcement helps your rivals. The game ends when a player reaches 4 points. The small box fits in a pocket and holds 24 cards in 6 colours, with 3 mushroom cards and 1 family card per colour, plus 3 dice, 12 score tokens and a rulebook.
