Split into two teams. As the Neanderthal Poet, you draw a card and try to get your teammates to guess the word or phrase on it before the sand timer runs out. The catch: you may only use words with one syllable. Getting grandma to guess phrases like "nudist beach", "mile high club" or "banana hammock" is harder than it sounds when every longer word is off limits. If you slip and use a word with more than one syllable, the other team gets to hit you with the 2-foot inflatable stick and steal your points. Guess as many words and phrases as you can before time runs out, and keep score on the two game boards. The cards are double-sided, so there is plenty of material for many rounds. It is a stand-alone game, so you do not need the original Poetry for Neanderthals – but you can mix the decks if you like, and the card colours show which deck each card is from. Expect red faces, wild guesses and a lot of laughter at your next adults-only party.
