Quicksand – Defuse the Trap Before the Sand Runs Out ⏳⚙️

A dangerous trap of gears and sand – not too fast, not too slow. Quicksand by Hjalmar Hach and Lorenzo Silva, illustrated by Maxime Morin and published by Horrible Guild, is a real-time cooperative game for 1 to 7 players aged 8 and up.

In turns, you play cards to flip and advance sand timers. The timers rest on Gear tiles, each with its own combination of shape and colour. Each card shows only one shape or one colour, and when you play it, every sand timer on a matching tile is flipped and moved forward – whether you want it or not. Keep every timer from running out until the trap is deactivated.

⏳ Five Sand Timers

Real time, real pressure.

⚙️ Gear Tiles

Shape and colour decide which timers move.

🃏 Shape or Colour
