Ticket to Ride: United Kingdom & Pennsylvania – Where the Railways Began 🚂🇬🇧
The great train adventure started in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland in the 19th century. Ticket to Ride Map Collection Volume 5 from Days of Wonder, by Alan R. Moon, adds two double-sided maps to your Ticket to Ride game: the United Kingdom for 2–4 players and Pennsylvania for 2–5 players.
On the United Kingdom map, you start with only basic technology. To build longer routes, cross to Ireland or reach the far cities of Scotland, you first have to develop your technologies by buying Tech cards – so early choices matter, and players often compete for the same routes around London and in the north of England. As the game continues, many different paths to victory open up: bonus points, tickets, long routes and more. The Pennsylvania map is simpler in its extra rules but adds plenty of strategy: every time you claim a route, you can take a share in one of the railroad companies running through it, and the players with the most shares in each company score bonus points at the end. Don't let your opponents outbid you, or your investments may not pay off. The box includes new train cards and Tech cards for the UK, new share cards for Pennsylvania, and tickets and rules for each map.
