Tiny Towns: Fortune – Money Comes to the Forest 🪙🏘️

The creatures of the forest have discovered money – shiny bits of metal called Quercs, though everyone just calls them coins. Tiny Towns: Fortune by Peter McPherson and Josh Wood is an expansion for Tiny Towns for 1–6 players aged 14+; you need the base game to play.

As in the base game, the Master Builder names a resource each round, and everyone must place it in their town. With Fortune, you can earn a coin by constructing two or more buildings in the same round. That changes your timing: sometimes it pays to wait and finish two buildings at once. You store up to four coins in your chest board. Spend one to place a different resource than the one the Master Builder named, or keep it – every leftover coin is worth 1 point at the end. The box adds 12 new building cards and 10 new monuments that use coins in clever ways, from buildings that cost coins to feed to monuments with an extra coin slot. The rules suggest playing with at most four Fortune buildings, and you can also use only the coin rules without the new cards. Fortune works with the Town Hall and solo variants too.
