Can you pull off a wacky skill challenge with cups, balls, dice or chopsticks – and do it better than everyone else? Beat That! is a wonderfully silly challenge party game for 2–8 players aged 9+, packed with props and 160 challenge cards.

Each round, a challenge card is drawn and read out. Before anyone tries it, every player secretly bets one of their betting tokens – each player has ten, worth 1, 3 or 5 points – depending on how confident they feel. Then the attempts begin: some challenges are Solo, some are Battle Royale for everyone at once, some pair players up in Buddy Up, and others pit two players against each other in a Duel. Succeed and your bet earns you points; fail and it earns nothing. Knowing when to go all in and when to play it safe is half the fun, because a high bet on a shaky attempt can backfire spectacularly. After 10 rounds, the player with the most points wins. The challenges use everyday-style props – cups, balls, dice and chopsticks – so there is plenty of laughing, cheering and arguing about whether that really counted. The box contains 160 challenge cards, 80 betting tokens, 10 cups, 5 balls, 4 dice, chopsticks, a memo pad, a tape measure and a sand timer. It works brilliantly at family gatherings, birthday parties and evenings with friends.
